All Tree Frog Studio furniture is handcrafted in the USA. We use a true 1` thick lumber producing a lightweight, extremely durable chair that is very strong and easily supports our larger customers.

Western Red Cedar has 80% the strength of Oak, and is the most desirable wood for outdoor furniture because of its natural bacteria and fungal resistance. It also has an incredible thermal co-efficient, which means, even on hot days, it is comfortable to sit in.

As a result of careful modification to the classic design, all of our furniture is designed for comfort and good looks. Our chair backs are sculpted, not flat, so the back and seat naturally fit the contours of your body. The ergonomically crafted chair width, height and seat length are chosen with maximum comfort in mind. Remember, a 20 inch wide chair seat is the width of an airplane seat. Our minimum chair seat is 22 inches wide with 7 inch arms, and believe us, it makes all the difference.

Our approach is ECO-FRIENDLY. Our products are made from recycled, repositioned, or reclaimed Western Red Cedar, from the U.S. or Canada. Substitutes such as, pine, spruce, Chinese cedar or fir, or plastic-wood combinations are not close to the quality or environmental standards of our lumber. Western Red Cedar does not need to be finished. However, if you wish a certain finish or color, we only use materials that will allow the wood grain to show through. We do not use paint or baked on finishes that hide the beauty or natural markings of the wood. Plus, most of our finishes contain low V.O.C.

Durability is what we are made of. Our furniture is built using stainless steel screws and fasteners that will never rust or tarnish the wood. Plus, special elasticized adhesives keep the chair rigid, even when put through temperatures from - 40° to +120°.

If you buy locally, our furniture is delivered fully assembled. If we ship to you, only minimal assembly is required. All hardware and glue is supplied, along with CLEAR instructions. All of our products are thoroughly sanded and rounded over so that seats and arms are smooth and there are no sharp edges. If you carefully compare with other sellers, this is not the case. We know because we have bought and tested their products.
